Quality photography is an artistic activity in a long tradition with attention to detail. Currently, photo editing of RAW files is rather emotionless and boring: it takes place on the PC, with mouse and keyboard or by swiping on the tablet.
This changes the PANDIA Maddox, named after the goddess of light (ancient Greek Πανδία, "all bright") and the inventor of photo processing (Richard L. Maddox).
In motion mode (symbol: four arrows), you can move the PANDIA like a mouse, thereby selecting the image section as well as zooming via the setting wheel. This way, you can view the details like with a dialupe.
In edit mode (slide icon), the adjustment wheel is used to adjust the values (e.g. contrast). This movement corresponds to that of a lens. The wheel is smooth-running, which makes fine adjustment possible with only one finger. The display on the outside shows the corresponding values of the function to be set (e.g. saturation, colors). A small joystick is used to navigate through the menus, which is intuitive after a while.
Robust stainless steel and tempered glass convey the highest quality and feel. A joystick is located centrally to control the menu. The display is framed by a design element that also integrates the switches.
For the placement of the fingers is a support pad of red leather on the back. As a small detail, the logo is also engraved there, playing with the aperture as a symbol and the initial letter P of PANDIA.
Another detail is a plus and minus symbol for minimalistic indication of the direction of rotation under the setting wheel.
All design elements are kept in a strong red that contrasts well with the black of the metal and forms a unit. The frame of the charging port is also designed in this red metal.
